What a Great Dive! I Got A Lot of Cute Fishes

Hi travelers, back again in the Ibu Peri’s Writing. This time I suddenly joined Discovery Scuba Diving again on Pramuka Island. And for this DSD I went with Dive & Co.  I’ve already done 3 times DSD in their pool so I think I should try the sea with them

The trip started with a speedboat from Marina Ancol Pier to Pramuka Island which took about 90-100 minutes. With waves that made me a little worried, because I always feel unsafe going to the sea except with the closest people. But finally we arrived and we went to the homestay to prepare for diving.

Let’s Dive!

This time I took a One Day Trip 2 times dive using a boat with a rate that you can ask directly to Dive & Co. I don’t want to spill because expensive or cheap is relative. Why use a boat when you can shore dive? Because I want to see cute fish and see turtles of course. So we have to go to APL to looking for cute turtles.

Dive 1

APL (Marine Protection Area)

Okay after preparing, the boat took us to APL. Hahahaha really excited, oh yeah I also dived with my new friend Henry, Ko Ken’s nephew who often goes on trips with me to the mountains. So there were three of us with 1 guide from Dive & Co, he’s Abi.

Actually Henry already had an Open Water license, so he was more familiar than me who new beginner. Okay, finally after using all the equipment, I did a backrolled and descended slowly under the control of Abi as our guide.

As usual, because I had just descended, I panicked a little but could still breathe well, tried to relax and listen to my own breathing, finally I could be calm. For me, diving is like meditation, I don’t hear any sounds other than the sound of breathing and bubbles. I focused only on looking for turtles because I really wanted to see turtles directly under the sea. Yuhuuuu

And finally after going around I found 1 big turtle huaaaa I felt touched and wanted to cry because it was so cuteeee. I didn’t expect someone like me who was afraid of the sea to suddenly calmly go around looking for fish.

Beside turtles, there were a lot of other marine animals that I found but I didn’t know their names and didn’t take pictures either. And there was a yellow-blue fish that I really loveeeeee but unfortunately I didn’t take a picture. But it’s okay, in fact, I should have prepared a camera but because the shop that i want to rent was irresponsible, I didn’t bring a camera. But luckily, Abi captured several moments. Hahahha I imagined how hard it would be to hold someone and take pictures. I really respect him.

After getting the turtle and diving for 30 minutes, we immediately went up slowly for the surface interval and lunch of course.

Dive 2

New Pier

After spoon-feed my stomach with snacks and heavy meals that had been provided, I continued Dive 2. This time I still used a boat but the spot was not far, namely at the New Pier of Pramuka Island. This spot has the characteristics of towering pillars from the seabed that support the pier. And if you’re lucky you can see amazing schooling fish.

The duration of the second dive remains at 30 minutes. For the first it was a bit difficult to dive because it was not visible, the water was quite murky and made me confused about where I was. But in the end, i was distracted by the fish and everything under the sea so that can made me enjoy and calm.

Okay, this is my experience about dive with Dive & Co. It was very enjoyable. Thanks Abi & Henry for a great dive.
